As I patiently wait for the graphics (as seen in this previous post) to be prepared for production, I felt as though the bland looking hood and roof screamed for attention. I didn't want to create a project like all of the others seen in magazines. I wanted something different, quite possibly something that might be seen as over-the-top.
At the same time, creating a pattern out of a logo has always intrigued me. Specifically, the creativity and skills required to produce a really cool look. The opportunity to use the logo from my local Subaru site, www.SoCalSubies.com, presented itself and I played with different patterns before deciding on the right one for this project. While it took several hours to design, it took Torsten from www.Karwraps.com (ignore the outdated website) only a few hours into the wee hours of the nigth to install. I must warn you though, seeing it isolation will not do it justice until the entire graphics scheme is completed. Torsten turned a digitally printed piece of vinyl from this: ![]() into this: |
